# Expected Returns

As the coinbase rewards are currently fixed, at 720 MINA for a regular block and 1440 MINA for a supercharged block, due to the increase in the total currency per epoch the expected APR per epoch is decreasing. This table displays the expected protocol return per epoch - it assumes 24.54 epochs a year, as an epoch is 14 days and 21 hours. The rewards will continue to decrease, with the supercharged bonus eventually being deprecated (stated for 15 months after mainnet launch). A hard fork may also adjust the future rate at any time.
