FAQs

What will the fee be?

The fee will be 5%.

I delegated to the pool but haven't received any rewards yet?

Due to the protocol there is a delay of 1-2 epochs before a delegation becomes active. Specifically the staking ledger for the current epoch is based on the (snarked) ledger at the last block of the current epoch - 2. So if you delegated in epoch 5, so long as the delegation transaction is in the snarked ledger by the last block of the epoch the delegation will become active in epoch 7. Any existing delegations (if any) are active until that time but would be up to your original delegator to honour any payouts owed to you once you move from their service.

Does the stake auto-compound?

In Mina the full balance of the wallet is delegated, but with a delay. The current epoch staking ledger is a snapshot of the balances of the (snarked) ledger from 2 epochs prior. So any rewards received in say epoch 10, would become active in epoch 12. There is no need to re-delegate.

Can I undelegate my stake?

Yes, you can un-delegate at any time. There is no penalty to do so - either submit a delegation transaction with the new staking service or back to yourself if you wish to be a block producer. There is a delay of 1-2 epochs before any updates are made, and if staking from Genesis the first two epochs will use the Genesis ledger.

Will my tokens be eligible for supercharged rewards

Yes - any Supercharged Addresses delegated will be eligible for supercharged rewards. Our payout mechanism calculates a "fair" distribution of all delegated tokens based on their supercharged weighting. If you receive unlocked tokens to your locked token address you should consider our payment address feature that allows users to send their rewards to a separate unlocked address which can then also be delegated but is eligible for the supercharged rewards.

How often are payouts made?

We will pay twice weekly (Wednesday and Sunday). For smaller balances where it does not make sense to send due to transaction fees we will accumulate to a minimum payment threshold. Currently this is 0.1 mina, but subject to change based on network conditions. You may request a payout at any time if below the threshold. See the documentation on payout addresses to combine multiple payments to a single address.

I don't have any unlocked funds to pay the transaction fee to delegate.

If all of your funds are locked at mainnet, and you wish to delegate to us, you will need some funds to pay for the transaction fee. If you do not have any unlocked funds, please contact us and we will happily send you the fee required to send a delegation transaction.

How are payments calculated?

The methodology for calculating payments may be found here. There is a reference implementation of this calculation available here. This takes into account the effect of the supercharged coinbase rewards to fairly distribute to all delegates.

I bought the maximum amount at the Coinlist sale, how much will I receive?

Assuming you purchased the maximum $500 allowance for 2000 mina, we can calculate your expected rewards based on your portion of the total stake. Once your tokens unlock, you will be eligible for supercharged rewards and if staking with MinaExplorer your rewards per epoch should be about 18 mina or around 36 mina per month (as ~2 epochs in a month).

How do I delegate to the pool on mainnet?

Follow the instructions in Delegating to the Pool to send a delegation transaction. Instructions for additional wallets will be added when available.

How can I see the historical performance of the pool?

We provide full details of the pool's performance on this page.

Can I be slashed?

No. There is no slashing on Mina. If for whatever reason the pool doesn't produce a block you just won't receive the block rewards but will not be punished.

Do you have access to my funds?

We never have access to your staked funds. You are just delegating us the right to stake on your behalf. You may re-delegate at any time by sending a delegation transaction. You are always in full control of your funds.

Can I send my block rewards directly to an unlocked account?

Yes! As unlocked tokens are eligible for supercharged rewards we recommend you do this following the instructions on the Supercharged Addresses page so we can verify your request.

Can I see an overview of my staking performance?

On MinaExplorer on the Pool tab (only displays for active stakers) you can see a dashboard containing statistics for all epochs. See an example here.

How can I get help?

Find ways to contact us via the Contact page.

When sending a delegation transaction, the full balance is always delegated. You do not need to enter an amount and the fee should just be the normal transaction fee e.g. around 0.01 Mina.
